Privacy notice
This privacy notice explains what Speaks collects on this website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Speaks is the responsible party for this website. Our full company name and address will appear here before launch. You can reach us through the contact page.
What we collect
If you request early access: your name, business, email, phone number if you give it, the jobs you’re interested in and your consent. If you use the contact form: your name, email and message. If you try the demo: your number, optional name and website, and the call’s recording and transcript. We also keep your internet address in a scrambled form to stop abuse.
Why
To tell you about early access, to answer you, and to run the demo you asked for. We don’t sell your details, and we won’t add you to anyone else’s list.
Your choice
Giving us your details is voluntary. Without them, we can’t give you early access, answer you or call you.
Who receives it
Companies that help us run this: our server providers, with servers in Johannesburg and Germany, our phone carriers, and OpenAI in the United States for the demo’s voice and summaries. This means some information goes outside South Africa.
How long
We keep early access requests until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them. Demo recordings and transcripts are kept on the server, and a set deletion period is being finalised before launch. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
You can ask whether we hold information about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can object to how we use it, and you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
